Programs and support for Schroeder PTA

Schroeder PTA is fortunate in having such a strong collaborative support between the Schroeder families, Principal, Teachers, and Staff. We are able to reach our goals and provide these amazing programs because of your support and donations.

Where does your money go?

  • All Pro Dad: All Pro Dad's Day is a simple idea with a profound impact. It's a 30 minute breakfast held before school where fathers and their children meet with other dads and kids in the school cafeteria. During this time, they discuss a wide range of family topics, spend time together, create fun memories, and are equipped with resources to strengthen their relationships.

  • Assemblies: Throughout the year there may be assemblies that include parents and/or students to provide enriching education. In previous years we've had Imagination Machine.

  • Birthday Book Club:  Students celebrate their birthday along with others during their birthday month. Crafts and goodies accompany a free Scholastic book to celebrate their birthday.

  • Book Fair: The PTA Book Fair Chair person and members work with Scholastic to run a fantastic and fun book fair. The book fair is the week of Open House.

  • Carnival: The Carnival is fun for the entire family and friends and takes place every June. It's our last extravaganza before summer begins! The playground is transformed into a fun filled games, jumpers, auctions, face painting, balloons, etc. You won't want to miss it!

  • Classroom Parties: PTA sponsors two classroom parties.

  • Family Nights:  We've had movie nights and ceramic painting and it's never a disappointment.

  • Field Trips: Field trips and bus transportation is costly. The PTA loves being able to support the opportunities for our Schroeder kids to get out and explore.

  • Garden Club: Our very own Mrs. Carlson enjoys using the Schroeder Garden as a way to teach students the importance of caring for a thriving garden.

  • Holiday Boutique: Shopping is always fun! Especially, when you are a Schroeder students. The PTA hosts a Holiday Boutique to allow students to shop for holiday gifts and surprise their families.

  • Holiday Ornament: If you don't already have one of these memorable ornaments ready to hang on your tree or in your house, you will be getting one in December! It is always fun to see your child's creativity.

  • Honorary Service Awards: There is a great deal of behind the scenes work that goes into this special event. If you have a special mom, dad, teacher, school staff that exceeds your expectations this is a great way to recognize them by nominating them for a Honorary Service Award.

  • iMom: Morning is a simple idea with a profound impact. It’s a 30 minute breakfast held before school where mothers and their children meet with other moms and kids in the school cafeteria. During this time, they discuss a wide range of family topics, spend time together, create fun memories, and are equipped with resources to strengthen their relationship.

  • Meet the Masters: Staff and students learn about artists and experience the artist’s techniques through this hands on program. Students creations are displayed at our Open House.

  • Popsicles â€‹for Field Day and Fun Run: Popsicles! Need I say more?!?

  • Red Ribbon Week: Annual Say “NO” to Drugs program. There are week long activities in each classroom and school wide.

  • Snacks for State Testing: Who doesn't like snacks? State testing is a very important part of your child's education and PTA provides snacks to keep the students focused.

  • Student of the Month: PTA Volunteers take pictures and make photo buttons and ribbons.

  • Trunk-or-Treat: Of course this is always a blast! Bring your kids in their costumes and a bag for candy so they can walk around and trick-or-treat from decorated and themed trunks. You don't want to come too late or you may miss the candy. This is a night event in the school parking lot. If you want to decorate your trunk start thinking of ideas now!

  • Walk Through History: I have to admit I have learned so much watching the walk throughs for grades 4th, 5th, and 6th! You child will learn and take part in costume to act out history.
