Welcome back to another great year at Schroeder!

Our Schroeder parents, grandparents and community members that volunteer throughout the year help
make Schroeder a great school. Schroeder PTA sponsors a lot of great activities to enrich our students’
school life and we could not do it without the Schroeder community coming together to help!

Room Parents assist the teacher throughout the year as needed. Responsibilities include coordinating
classroom parties, holiday ornaments, and carnival auction basket.

In addition to volunteering in the classrooms, we also need YOUR help with the various PTA
sponsored programs and events throughout the year. See the descriptions below for some of our
PTA sponsored events and volunteer opportunities.

Please note any ideas, special interests, hobbies that might benefit our school:

Birthday Book Club: Assist Chairperson with planning. Assist students with crafts, refreshments and
books.

Book Fair: Assist with set up and teardown, decorating, class previews, volunteer for days and/or
evening.

 

Box Tops: Assist chairperson in collection and processing Box Tops.

Disaster Preparedness: Assist chairperson in organizing emergency supplies and equipment.

 

Family Nights: Help set up and teardown/clean-up. Volunteer to help with activity.

 

Field Day: Assist in field activities, such as relay races, balloon toss, parachute, Popsicles, etc.

 

Flyer Distribution: Assist in distributing any school or PTA flyers to classrooms for Thursday take home.

 

Fundraising: Assist chairperson with distribution, organization and conclusion of fundraisers.

 

Holiday Boutique: Held every December, we need volunteers to help the students during the day.

 

Hospitality: Our committee of volunteers help with various events throughout the school year.

 

Red Ribbon Week: Assist chairperson with Red Ribbon week during a week in October.

 

Holiday Ornaments: Assist chairperson to coordinate holiday ornaments for each classroom.

 

Hospitality: Assist with preparations to provide refreshments for various school functions.

 

Membership Events: Assist with PTA Membership events: Lunch on the Lawn and membership drives.

 

Recycling: Assist chairperson with storing and turning in recyclables.

 

Reflections: Coordinate a PTA-sponsored art contest. Organize and judge annual program in

Oct/Nov. Rodeo Carnival: Assist Chairperson in planning, organizing, set up and tear down.

 

Schroeder Spirit Wear: Assist Chairperson with the selling of merchandise.

 

Student Art Program: Assist staff with art materials and displaying art during Honorary Service Awards.

 

Trunk or Treat: Assist Chairperson with the planning & organizing of this event.
